What I love about vending:

Every time I have the opportunity to vend at a fiber event, I feel a wave of excitement. It’s a chance to share my passion in a way that truly reflects who I am as a fiber enthusiast. Setting up my booth is always an adventure—I love experimenting with different displays to find the most inviting way to showcase my products. There’s something special about connecting with others who share this craft, and I can’t wait for each new event!

Grazing Hills

My first vending experience was at the Grazing Hills Fiber Arts Festival, and it was truly incredible. This annual event in Viola, Idaho, was a celebration of the fiber arts, offering everything from vendors and classes to live demonstrations and food trucks. I loved that it gave people a chance to learn about animals like alpacas and sheep and to try their hand at activities like knitting, spinning, and needle felting. I was lucky enough to be part of the festival in both 2021 and 2024. The family that organized it was always so warm and welcoming, and the amazing customers made the experience unforgettable.

Knit in Public Day

My local yarn shop had a cozy little courtyard, and they used it to host a few vendors for Knit in Public Day! It was such a lovely way to gather, enjoy each other's company in a beautiful setting, and support local makers and small business owners from the fiber community.

Purlside Fiber Fest

I was thrilled to be a vendor at the first-ever PurlSide Fiber Fest in 2025, a new fiber festival that celebrates the creative community in eastern Oregon and Washington. PurlSide focuses on showcasing the "other side" of the region's fiber arts, highlighting unique, local products and fostering community connection. The festival features a wide array of vendors, artisans, and activities for knitters, spinners, and other fiber artists. Crafters can find everything from hand-dyed yarns to specialty tools and can even take hands-on workshops. Plus, a portion of the proceeds supports local charities, which makes it even more special. I can't wait to be a part of this event again!

Idaho Fiber Festival

As a fiber arts enthusiast, I look forward to the Idaho Fiber Festival every year! This free event in Boise is so much more than a market—it’s a gathering place for crafters like me to connect, find inspiration, and discover amazing new yarns and tools from a variety of vendors. I’ve attended every one of the three festivals, from 2023 to 2025, and it’s been incredible to watch it grow and adapt to accommodate more people each year. I love that this festival brings the fiber community together in my hometown, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for it.
